Time to leave picturesque Lake Bled. The local bus stop was a mere 150 meters from the apt. Most convenient! An easy 45 minute ride to reach the capital of Slovenia, population about 300 000. Hotel 600 meters from central bus station. No cute apartment but a grand glass monolith. Despite the roadworks close by, it is in a quiet location and minutes from the pedestrianised CBD. This is where we are going to meet our tour group and from where we leave on the motorbikes on Thursday. A lazy afternoon after lunch and then a message from Paul and Marg to meet them for dinner at 5 pm. Fun to see familiar faces.
While sitting in one of the malls, in the warmth of the evening, we were interrupted by someone asking whether we were going to be in Lljubliana for long...Greg, Lynda and Jaimie had found us. More hugs and laughter. The crew from our 2008 Bhutan ride/tour were back together. Much talk, food and drinks later our first night on The Balkans venture had materialised.
