Barcelona to Bike

A transition day today so not much to report. A casual rise to tidy our little apt and then to pack. Caught a taxi to our new abode down by the beach at Hotel Icaria. A much quieter part of Barcelona. New residential with the usual wide streets that include the most efficient middle zone for push bikes, scooters, electric bikes and pedestrians. We spent a pleasant few hours watching the beach life and enjoying drinks and lunch. At 4.30 we walked to the premises of the bike company who have arranged our next 10days.  Volker and his offsider “walked” us through the bike and the maps for our Pyrenees sojourn. He promised me quiet but scenic roads. After the bustle of Barcelona, that will be a welcome change.
Major rearrangement of requirements as we are carrying any gear on the bike...no support crew.
Return to the beachside for dinner. Early start in the morning.
