DaySevenBB To Solta Island and back to Trogir.

Warm morning to start another early sail. By breakfast we had moored at Rogac on Solta Island. Everyone ready to ride at 9.15. A steep UP greeted those on normal bikes, to whom I still take off my hat. Stress was taken from me by the power of the ebike.

We arrived at a small village and rode to be greeted by a beekeeper. Honey has been a major product on sale in tourist shops and on the side of the road since we arrived in the Balkans. All that scrubby bush must be great for bees. We listened to this amusing gentlemen speak for about 45 mins. You think you know about bees until a professional talks to you. Besides all the amazing natural production facts, he was also taking the opportunity to plead for our understanding of the danger bees...and therefore us...are facing. Simply, no pollination no food. Very scary.

We were all impressed. However, the bikes beckoned and it was a glorious 12 kms glide down to the other side of the island for a quick coffee or ice-cream and then the inevitable long haul back up and then over. Sylvia, our guide, was anxious to get us back to the boat so that we could sail to a nearby cove for a deserved swim before lunch.

It was then time to sail back to our original port of Trogir. No more riding and the reality that our boating escapism was nearly over.

Tonight there is The Captain's Dinner, without the usual dress code, thank goodness!

We need to vacate our rooms by 9am so that the crew can ready the boat for the next tour due to start in the afternoon. Tony and I will spend the night here in Trogir before flying to Vienna tomorrow, Sunday, to start the next leg of our time away. One week in Vienna.

At the top of the climb.

A serious message.

Tony' s favourite food since we have been away.

Coffee and ice-cream time.

Finally got Tony in the water.

Loading those bikes for the last time. On this tour!
